The summit at 9,065 ft. offers runs that head out in any direction to the broad expanse of the mountain's circumference. 70 trails stretch down the slopes; everyone can find a favorite place. One of the largest resorts in North America, Mt Bachelor is famous for its light dry snow, the best skiing and riding in the West. The resort also offers Nordic skiing, tubing, and dog sled rides. Mt. Hood Meadows Resort offers some of the most spectacular skiing in the northwest, with five ski areas that make it perfect for every level skier. (+$60) www.skihood.com
